about Dignidad

Dignidad is a multimedia platform for the youth to share relevant stories and express their truths in their communities for human rights advocacy. Through this initiative, we hope to amplify the voices from grassroot level and highlight stories of dignity in the community. It was initially launched in 2018 by IDEALS as a community tabloid that contained relevant news, information and stories about human rights issues. Now, it has expanded into an online repository for community-driven human rights stories that anchored towards civic engagement, defending the truth and raising local issues in the community. IDEALS envisions an empowered citizenry who appreciates and defends their rights manifested through a community who speak up and live without terror and fear.
