Human Rights
President Duterte’s administration’s war on drugs, which mainly affected drug users and peddlers, resulted to death in thousands.
The state-sanctioned campaign has reinforced audacity of law enforcement agencies to operate with impunity. We are currently implementing several strategies to uphold human rights, increase access to justice, and to contribute to the constituency who uphold human rights and the rule of law.
This includes community-based legal missions, legal rights educations, networking with advocates, and case building. The focus of IDEALS is in the inclusive documentation of cases in communities through strong partnerships with the church and parishes.
