Tiempo Muerto (Dead Season)

In Negros, Philippines, farmers stand up against rich families to assert their right to own land. Hacienda owners fend them off through senseless violence and killings. On February 2018, 4 farmers were killed and 1 was fatally wounded after an attack by armed men. The government turns a blind eye to both killings and the promise of their land reform program. Armed only with their rights, the victims’ peers and families demand for justice.
